Essential Wealth celebrates 45 years in business - 7th October 2024

This month marks the 45th anniversary of Essential Wealth, formed in 1979 by Helen Newport - the same year in which Margaret Thatcher became Britain’s first female Prime Minister, and interest rates were raised to 17%!

Helen recently shared her thoughts with us “I am proud that the company I created, in difficult times, is continuing to provide outstanding service, now using the latest technology but continuing with the personal service that was always the bedrock of the company. What is heart-warming is that so many of my original clients, and their children, are continuing to work with Sonia and her brilliant team.  

In 2006, Sonia Wheeler joined Helen and went on to purchase the business in 2013, enabling Helen to take her well-earned retirement. Sonia leads the highly skilled team of Chartered Financial Planners, Client Managers and administrators and whilst the firm has grown, it maintains the personalised service and expert financial guidance that Essential Wealth are recognised for. Over the past four and a half decades, the company has evolved and thrived through significant market and regulatory changes, adapting to meet the ever-changing needs of clients.
