Happy Christmas - 24th December 2024

Wishing our clients and associated professionals a very happy Christmas and a fulfilling and healthy New Year. 

Our office is closing at 4pm today and will reopen at 9am on 2nd January 2025. 

At this year closes, we reflect on on key achievements and challenges of the year: 

• We welcomed Kerry Ashby to our growing team earlier this year and we are all so pleased she joined us. Kerry works closely with Emma, providing essential support to our financial planners and managing our clients' administration.

• We moved networks to 2plan Wealth Management in the summer, after many months of planning and preparation. Whilst this has brought challenges as expected with a significant change, we are pleased we made the move to providing independent financial advice that compliments our financial planning service. A special thanks to Georgina and Carrie for ensuring our move has been a smooth transition.

• Providing Chartered advice remains one of our key objectives and our financial planners, Sonia, Marc and Natasha, all retained their Chartered Financial Planner status.

• We supported The Openwork Foundation throughout 2024. Whilst Sonia's planned challenges didn't happen due to injuries, we made financial donations to provide much needed funds.

• For 2025, we look forward to supporting Newbury Soup Kitchen, a local charity to us who provide valuable resources for people facing homelessness and poverty in Newbury.

• Our charity challenge for 2025 is a team effort, instigated by Marc, whereby we will be running 10x10k's. Our first 10k is in March.

• Sonia continued to support external upcoming financial planners looking take over businesses. Having taken over Essential Wealth 12 years ago, Sonia enjoys sharing her experience and providing essential business planning support.

• We achieved our best year to date in terms of turnover and growth in assets under management. Growth is essential during this time of increasing costs, we saw an 11% increase in new client meetings and all our new clients came from referrals from existing clients.

• We strengthened our breadth of Associated Professionals, enabling us to provide more options for clients needing additional services.
